Part 1 Session Summaries
In Part 1, your child will be encouraged and challenged to think carefully about the major influences on their life.
- Session 1 focuses on their relationship with God and His love for them.
- Session 2 introduces important spiritual survival gear that your child should begin learning how to use.
- Session 3 continues with a discussion of your child’s relationship to you as their parent, and encourages them to remember that their parents love them and are here to help them.
- Session 4 deals with the issue of friendships and pressure, and challenges your child to prayerfully evaluate what influence their friends have on them.
- Session 5 reveals that the treasure the King wants is your child’s heart and life; they don’t need to look for an external treasure to please God.
- Session 6 deals with puberty and what your child can expect during this exciting process.
Part 2 Session Summaries
Part 2 of My Path to Purity™ presents warnings about some of the most common and challenging pitfalls that your child is likely to face regarding purity during their teenage years.
- Session 7 focuses on the difference between infatuation and real love.
- Session 8 deals with the dangers of pornography and immodesty.
- Session 9 deals with issues related to gender confusion.
- Session 10 focuses on sexual temptation, your child’s sex drive, and pre-marital sex.
Part 3 Session Summaries
The final two sessions in Part 3 deal with promises—something incredibly important to relationships and purity.
- Session 11 presents the gospel of God’s forgiveness for our past mistakes, and shares the incredibly good news of His love for each person. This session will challenge your child to deal compassionately with friends who may make mistakes in their lives, and it will also give them hope if they have already made mistakes of their own, or if they have been mistreated by someone else.
- Session 12 concludes My Path to Purity™ with an opportunity for your child to commit themselves—with God’s help and your encouragement—to a life of purity. Make a big deal about your child’s decision. It will influence the rest of their life.
